About Amy Tiemann

Dr. Amy Tiemann is an award-winning author, educator and media producer. Through her books, blogs, podcasts and media appearances, she plays a central role in today’s conversation about parenting, child safety, politics and culture. A sought-after speaker and commentator, Dr. Tiemann is a frequent guest expert on parenting websites, national radio tours, magazines from Redbook to Glamour, and TV including ABC News, The CBS Early Show, and NBC’s Today Show. Dr. Tiemann is the Center Director of Kidpower North Carolina and a Senior Program Leader with the global educational organization, Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International. She is currently working in collaboration with Kidpower Executive Director Irene van der Zande on a research project called "Doing Right By Our Kids: Protecting Child Safety at All Levels of Society."
